What is the “North & South”?
North & South is primarily a Two-Person Match Play Golf Tournament for men and women pairing those who grew up in the North against those who grew up in the South. Held in Lake Toxaway, NC the fun and competitive event was created in 2018 to raise awareness for Handshake America and its original two chapters in Columbus, OH, and Atlanta, GA. The event now serves as a fundraiser for all regions including Western Carolina and our newest region in Charlotte.

Who’s invited?
The North & South is open to any golf member of Lake Toxaway Country Club who has an established handicap. The event has been growing by "word of mouth" each year. Participants from prior years are given until June 3, 2024 to register. The following day (6/4) we will open any remaining spots to new participants on a 'first come - first serve' basis.
