Rick Jackson-Chairman   Rick recently retired as the EVP of Logistic Services at L Brands. He and his wife, Penny, have three grown children including Travis, who contributes as a Handshake Coach. Rick and Penny have contributed significantly since 2015 by being Scholarship Sponsors for Handshake students. Recently they created The William Fawley PASSION Memorial Award, in honor of Penny’s father. The award is given to the student who personifies the important practice of pursuing your passion in the face of adversity just as William did.

Doug Probst-President & Co-founder   Doug co-founded and created Handshake America in Columbus, Ohio in 2011 along with his peers and fellow DSW executives, Roger Rawlins and Bill Jordan. In 2014 Doug retired as CFO of DSW to focus his energy on the growth and development of Handshake America. Doug and his wife Patty have three grown children and moved to Georgia in 2016 where he lead the launch of Handshake-Atlanta one year later. He has been a Handshake Coach in Columbus and Atlanta covering six student-athletes.

Doug co-founded and created Handshake America in Columbus, Ohio in 2011 along with his peers and fellow DSW executives, Roger Rawlins and Bill Jordan. Hyman Albritton   Hyman's primary experience is in the human resource arena and he currently owns and operates Genesis Consulting. He has been a valuable advisor for Handshake since the beginning, was a Handshake Coach for three years, and previously sat on the Handshake- Columbus Advisory Board.

Chris Lanning   Chris has an extensive career in retail and consumer products. He is currently the President of Retail at Apricot Lane Boutique as well as a Board role with the non-profit Blood:Water. He and his wife have two grown daughters - one in Atlanta and one in Columbus. Chris provided a lot of good counsel during the early years of Handshake and has been helpful in launching Handshake-Atlanta.

Chris has an extensive career in retail and consumer products. He is currently the President of Retail at Apricot Lane Boutique as well as a Board role with the non-profit Blood:Water. He and his wife have two grown daughters - one in Atlanta and one in Columbus. Roger Rawlins   Roger is the CEO of DSW. He and his wife are raising three kids - one in college, one in high school, and a new baby they recently adopted! Roger is a Co-founder of Handshake America, has been a Handshake Coach every year, and previously sat on the Handshake-Columbus Advisory Board.

Ron Ransom   Ron is the most recent addition to the Handshake America Board. Ron served as a Handshake Coach in Columbus for four years and also contributes as a host, facilitator and sponsor. Ron and his wife, Robyn, have two young children and live in the Columbus area. Ron is currently a Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Nationwide. Ron’s passion for excellence and bringing the best out of the students is a natural fit for Handshake America.

Susan Gallogly-Executive Director   Susan got involved with Handshake America in 2014 as part of task force to fold women into the Handshake Program. Her passion for people development, combined with leaning on her personal experiences as a high school and college student-athlete to help with her 25-year corporate career, created an immediate connection with the work of Handshake America. In October of 2015 Susan left her corporate role to focus on the growth and development of Handshake America as their first Executive Director. Susan and her husband have two school-age boys and live in the Columbus area.

Adam Chait President, Handshake America-Atlanta   Adam’s passion for the Program and eagerness to be involved led to his appointment of President of the Atlanta Chapter in August 2018. The development of this role was a critical next step towards Handshake America’s ability to expand to other cities using the model set up in Atlanta and Columbus. Adam is the CEO of The Athlete’s Foot and lives in Atlanta, GA with his wife, Jessica (who is a Handshake Coach) and two young boys.

Adam’s passion for the Program and eagerness to be involved led to his appointment of President of the Atlanta Chapter in August 2018. The development of this role was a critical next step towards Handshake America’s ability to expand to other cities using the model set up in Atlanta and Columbus. Adam is the CEO of The Athlete’s Foot and lives in Atlanta, GA with his wife, Jessica (who is a Handshake Coach) and two young boys.

Joel Juday President, Handshake America-Columbus   Joel is a veteran with Handshake America, getting involved as a Coach in year two of the Program. He coached for four years (2013-2016), then moved into a volunteer role as his young family was growing, and was appointed to the role of President of the Columbus Chapter (inaugural and largest chapter) in August 2018. Joel is a leader with the Hollister brand within Abercrombie and lives in the Columbus area with his wife, Rachel, and four young children. Joel’s continued leadership and contribution with the Handshake Program is helping pave the way for the success of future chapters.
